This morning the 25th edition of the Lanzarote International Marathon was held, in which we had 1500 entrants!
The day started at 07:55am at Sands Beach Resort Hotel with the wheelers, where 11 international participants faced a marathon distance.

Later, at 08:00am 300 participants began their marathon distance run, in which they needed to run to Puerto del Carmen and back.

Later at 10:30am in Puerto del Carmen, the 21km (half marathon) runners gathered to begin their race, heading to Costa Teguise.
On their way through Arrecife, this group was joined by participants running the 10km distance, who started at the Charco de San Gines. In this distance category there were successful sport professionals like Tamara Jaume Leiva and Sanfabio present.

Finally, at 12:15 pm in Costa Teguise participants of this marathon for everyone began the start of the 5km run. In this category there were lots of different groups of runners involved, including those just starting out in the sport.
Everyone gathered outside Sands Beach Resort hotel, where not only the finish line was, but where participants could enjoy a great sporting atmosphere and a great area designed exclusively for them: refreshments, recovery area, expo area and the wonderful presence of Depa and Vicky, the speakers in charge of livening up the day and keeping the excitement going!

In short, this was a great event held in the unique setting of the island of Lanzarote, all under a sunny day where temperatures were around 21° and in which the main stars were undoubtedly those 1,500 runners who have completed their challenge.
